ARKANCE Announces New Integration Connecting Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam

Find out more about the Autodesk Construction Cloud - Bluebeam connector

October 15, 2024, PARIS, France & IRVINE, California – ARKANCE, a leading global provider of technology and services to the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) and manufacturing industries, announces a new advanced technology integration tool connecting Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam. The new connector by ARKANCE demonstrates its support of an interoperability agreement between Autodesk and the Nemetschek Group to enhance collaboration and efficiencies, announced earlier this year.

As the world’s largest Platinum Partner for Autodesk and Bluebeam, ARKANCE provides Autodesk and Bluebeam technology, services, and support to a worldwide customer ecosystem within the AEC and manufacturing industries. The new connector enhances and complements ARKANCE’s Autodesk and Bluebeam offerings, focusing on creating better project outcomes.

Project teams utilizing Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam can now integrate their solutions using the ARKANCE Connector, improving collaboration through information exchange and creating greater efficiencies. The integration allows users to export PDFs from Autodesk® Build, Autodesk® Docs, or BIM 360® to Bluebeam Studio®. The PDFs can then be marked up in a Bluebeam Studio session and saved into Autodesk Construction Cloud.

ARKANCE is proud to be the first to implement this powerful integration. Our ACC-Bluebeam connector ensures a smooth exchange of information, enabling our customers to optimize their workflows and achieve more effective project outcomes. This integration supports our mission to enhance interoperability between leading cloud and desktop solutions, empowering our customers to achieve better project outcomes while reducing friction in their day-to-day operations.

Key Benefits for Users
This connector creates a seamless bridge between ACC and Bluebeam, delivering several significant advantages:

  • Enhanced Collaboration: Users can effortlessly share PDFs directly from ACC into a Bluebeam Session for real-time collaboration, allowing for markups, revisions, and annotations to be made within Bluebeam.

  • Streamlined Workflows: Once collaboration is complete, the revised PDFs, with all markups, can be saved back into ACC without the need for separate download and upload actions. This reduces file management overhead and speeds up the entire process.

  • Cloud Flexibility: The cloud-based nature of this connector means users can access and collaborate on PDFs from anywhere, on any device—including mobile—without the need for desktop applications.

  • Cross-Platform Synergy: By integrating these powerful platforms, users gain the benefits of both worlds—Bluebeam's industry-leading PDF editing tools and ACC's robust project management capabilities.

A key focus for Autodesk is fostering an open ecosystem to allow all stakeholders of a construction project to use the technologies that best suit their needs, in concert. By helping builders leverage the construction documents they trust to Autodesk Construction Cloud in tools such as Bluebeam, ARKANCE clearly demonstrates that they share that vision of openness.
